There’s a new claim about what Sophie Turner allegedly said on Ring camera which proved the “final straw” for Joe Jonas in their marriage.

Details of what Joe Jonas allegedly heard Sophie Turner saying on their home’s Ring camera ahead of their bombshell split has been revealed.

Following weeks of speculation about what was in the footage that reportedly sparked the final call on their marriage, US Weekly claims that the Jonas Brothers singer, 34, heard his wife badmouthing him to a friend.

“It wasn’t anything more than that,” the source told the publication. “But that was the final straw.”

TMZ has previously reported that multiple sources had come forward to claim Jonas had witnessed the Game of Thrones actress saying or do something on camera that made him realise their relationship was finished.

He filed for divorce in early September after four years of marriage.

According to TMZ, the couple had been experiencing issues for some time and Jonas had been taking care of their two daughters, Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1.

Turner’s legal team filed documents last week revealing further details about their shock split, with the actress explaining that the “sudden” end to their marriage had followed a massive argument they had on August 15 – which happened to be Jonas’ birthday.

“The breakdown of the parties’ marriage happened very suddenly,” the documents stated, as seen by Entertainment Tonight.

“The parties had an argument on Aug. 15, 2023. On or about Sept. 1, 2023, [Jonas] filed a divorce case against [Turner] in Florida.”

The papers, which were filed in New York last Thursday, also revealed the devastating way Turner found out her marriage was ending.

“On or about Sept. 5, 2023, [Turner] found out through the media that [Jonas] had filed for divorce,” the documents read.

Turner and Jonas began dating in 2016, becoming engaged the following year.

They had two weddings in 2019 – first eloping in Las Vegas and then hosting a star-studded ceremony in France just weeks later.

Since the divorce filing, the split has quickly turned acrimonious, with multiple sources claiming to be close to each side speaking out to paint the other in an unflattering light.

In recent days, it emerged that Turner is now suing her ex for “wrongful retention” of their two daughters, amid reports that Jonas was refusing to hand over their passports in order to prevent them from moving from the US to the UK, the actress’ home country.

In a statement to Page Six, Jonas’ representative denied the allegation.

“This is an unfortunate legal disagreement about a marriage that is sadly ending,” the spokesman told the publication.

“When language like ‘abduction’ is used, it is misleading at best, and a serious abuse of the legal system at worst. The children were not abducted.”

The former couple has currently agreed to remain in New York with their children as they navigate the details of their divorce.
