The Veronicas’ Jess Origliasso accuses ex Ruby Rose of ‘harassment’
The Veronicas’ star has publicly slammed Ruby Rose, claiming she’s the victim of “continued harassment” by her ex-girlfriend.
The Veronicas’ Jess Origliasso has publicly rebuked Ruby Rose, claiming she’s the victim of “continued harassment” by her ex-girlfriend.
Origliasso, 33, was responding to a comment from the Orange Is The New Black star on an Instagram photo of herself and new boyfriend Kai Carlton, taken at her twin sister’s wedding recently.
“Congratulations! So happy for you both,” Rose wrote under the picture of her ex-girlfriend.
It seemed innocent enough, but sparked a furious response from Origliasso.
“@rubyrose I have requested you not contact me for over 4 months now. You have been given my grace of being ignored on every other private platform, so the fact you continue to ignore this to contact me here publicly under the guise of wishing me well is continued harassment,” she wrote.
“That is news to me. Copy that. Good vibes only,” Rose replied.
Rose and Origliasso dated for two years after reconnecting on the set of The Veronicas’ music video On Your Side in 2016, but decided to part ways earlier this year.
This new public spat appears to be a significant shift away from their previously amicable breakup.
Announcing the split on Twitter in April, Rose insisted they both “still love each other very much”, and that she will “always support (Origliasso) and be her biggest advocate”.
However, the Pitch Perfect 3 actor also had a very well-publicised feud with her ex-girlfriend’s twin sister, Lisa, last year after the same-sex marriage results were released.
“So glad to see Lisa Origliasso screaming in excitement about the yes vote after telling us she thinks we should feel ‘lucky’ we don’t get stoned to death like they do in other countries and to get over it a few months ago. Really warms my heart,” Rose wrote in a since-deleted tweet.
Lisa Origliasso hit back a short time later, insisting the accusations were false.
“I did not make those statements and I do not hold those views,” she said in a statement.
