Veronicas twins family feud gets nastier with Lisa stating: ‘I do not hold intolerant views’ on sexuality
THE Veronicas’ Lisa Origliasso has hit back at her twin Jess and Ruby Rose as the bitter family feud over marriage equality continues
AUSTRALIAN chart topping twins The Veronicas are in danger of splitting with their secret family feud going public.
Over the last few months sisters Lisa and Jess Origliasso have fallen out over claims of “intolerance” over sexuality and marriage equality.
Veronicas member Lisa Origliasso has been forced to deny sister Jessica’s claims she does not support her sexuality or marriage equality.
Jess has been in a relationship with actor and LGBT activist Ruby Rose for over a year. Rose posted — and swiftly deleted — a tweet this week which read ‘So glad to see Lisa Origliasso screaming in excitement about the yes vote after telling us she thinks we should feel ‘lucky’ we don’t get stoned to death like they do in other countries and to get over it a few months ago. Really warms my heart.’

Jess this morning did not name her twin but stated that “I may not have struggled with an inner turmoil, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t struggled with people close to me, degrading my sexuality because of their own personal judgments or ignorance.
“People can publicly support the LGBT community, but behind closed doors inflict deep pain because of their own inability to accept or understand you as a part of that community.
“That can be a particularly difficult and heartbreaking experience. But one that has been a private and real struggle in my life.”
The post has stirred up, and divided, fans of the duo (and fans of Rose) who are being forced to take sides.
To all of our amazing supporters, we announced earlier this year we would release our 4th studio album in 2017, but due to personal circumstances out of our control, we have made the decision to hold releases till 2018.

Thank you for your ongoing love.
See you next year XX
Today Lisa Origliasso — who no longer follows her sister on social media — has reacted to the comments, confirming they were directed at her.
“This past week I have been accused of making intolerant statements and holding intolerant views.” Lisa said. “I did not make those statements and I do not hold those views. Sexuality has never played a factor in my acceptance of people or their relationships.
“I have and always will continue to show my unwavering support for the LGBTI community with pride and continue to celebrate love, acceptance and tolerance within our country and community.
“Thank you to my friends and fans for your continuing love and support.”
Jess, I love you and I support you and Iâve done that for 12 years and I will continue to do that. But this NEEDS to stop. Stop airing your dirty laundry for the world to see. Itâs hurting you. Itâs hurting your family. Itâs hurting US.

Itâs an emotional day. Iâm a human being and need to remind myself not to let the people below try to drag me down.

The Veronicas told fans last week due to “personal circumstances out of our control” they had pushed their fourth album to a 2018 release.
Fans believed was a reaction to putting their career on hold due to their mother’s poor health.
But now it seems a sad rift has developed between the sisters, similar to the way a feud between former Oasis members Liam and Noel Gallagher is playing out on social media.
Rose rekindled her relationship with Jess after directing the video for last year’s Veronicas single On Your Side.
The pair recently celebrated their first anniversary and have documented their relationship on social media.
The Veronicas last performed together on TV in June, promoting single The Only High.
The song peaked at No. 41, although a video for the track, which was believed to have been filmed, was never released.
When the video for On Your Side was not nominated for an ARIA award this year, Lisa reacted to a news.com.au headline “Veronicas not happy” with “Jessica Veronica. Not The Veronicas.”
The duo have recorded most of their fourth album, but it is unknown whether they will be able to mend their relationship to release it.
Lisa is engaged to musician Logan Huffman and splits her time between Australia and the US.
The pair’s biggest hit, Untouched, turns 10 this year and recently hit 50 million views on You Tube. The song went Top 10 in the UK and Top 20 in the US.
Their first single, 4Ever (written by Max Martin) was released in 2005.
They have scored three Australian No. 1 singles — Hook Me Up, You Ruin Me and In My Blood, as well as Top 20 hits Everything I’m Not, When It All Falls Apart, Revolution, This Love, Take Me On the Floor, Untouched and If You Love Someone.
Music history has many bands containing siblings who have fallen out, sometimes derailing their career including Oasis, The Bee Gees, The Kinks, Dire Straits, UB40, the Everly Brothers, the Andrews Sisters, the Beach Boys and Heart.
