Taylor Swift’s dating life is sparking rumours again after a certain bad boy muso was spotted at her show – and was even seen dancing.

The 1975’s Matt Healy has been spotted at Taylor Swift’s stadium tour as rumours mount that the pair are a couple – and this isn’t the kind of thing they can just shake off.

Healy is an English musician known for swearing and smoking on stage while he sings songs about love and how utterly complicated life is for modern men that wear skinny jeans.

Healy and his band have successfully built up a huge following thanks to their ability to encapsulate the perils of modern dating through a male indie sleaze lens.

“I’m looking through you/While you’re looking through your phone,” are some of his most famous lyrics.

The songwriter is also a nepotism baby and is the son of actors Tim Healy and Denise Welch.

Healy wears oversized coats, has unbrushed hair and has gone from an indie cool boy to a bona fide mainstream performer.

If you aren’t familiar, think of a stereotypical man in the hipster suburb nearest you, and you’ll get the vibe.

Meanwhile, Swift’s image is the polar opposite. She’s all about sequins, being earnest, and always brushing her hair, and yet the dating rumours persist.

Swift is single at the moment after it was reported in April that she just ended her six-year relationship with actor Joe Alwyn, who has never quite graduated to leading man material. Still, a quick glance at his IMDB profile will tell you that you’ve likely seen something he is in.

The Sun shocked everyone when they reported that Healy and Swift would go public with their relationship this weekend at Swift’s Nashville shows.

The two haven’t confirmed anything, but Healy has been spotted at Swift’s shows both nights, and he was even seen dancing to her smash hit Shake It Off.

There is something special about seeing an indie king get down to one of the biggest, most unapologetic pop hits of the 2000s.

A source also told The Sun, “She and Matty are madly in love. It’s super-early days, but it feels right. They first dated, very briefly, almost ten years ago, but timing just didn’t work out.

“Taylor and Joe actually split up back in February, so there was absolutely no crossover. Both Matty and Taylor have been touring over the past few weeks, so it’s been a lot of Face-Timing and texting, but she cannot wait to see him again.”

Still, Healy’s a change from Swift’s usual type. Sure, she’s dated ‘bad boys’ like Harry Styles, but Styles was just a guy in a boy band with long hair.

Healy has a slightly more complex past.

The singer went to rehab for drug abuse in 2018, after finding himself addicted to heroin.

Healy also has history with Swift.

She famously attended one of The 1975’s shows in 2014 and was then photographed in the band’s merch.

Dating rumours swirled at the time that Healy and Swift were hooking up but nothing came to fruition.

In 2016 Healy told Q Magazine that he’d never have dated the popstar anyway.

“If I had (properly) gone out with Taylor Swift, the first thing I would’ve (thought was) ‘F – king hell, I am NOT being Taylor Swift’s boyfriend’. You know, F – K. THAT … That’s also a man thing, a de-masculinising, emasculating thing,” he said.

Ultimately Healey declared on social media that the remarks were taken out of context and he wasn’t a “misogynist”.

Naturally, fans are divided on the pairing.

“I never understood why Romeo and Juliet’s parents were so against two people being together until I heard rumours about Taylor Swift and Matt Healy,” one tweeted.

“Matt Healy? Oh lord, please, I’m on my knees. Taylor wouldn’t give us this suffering. She really wouldn’t, right?” another wrote.

Someone added: “All I can say is that Taylor will date anyone if they’re British”.

“The Matt Healy fans are mad because they think Taylor is cringe, the Taylor fans are mad bc they think Matt Healy is cringe,” another observed.
