Taylor Swift and Matty Healy’s romance is proving to be controversial

Taylor Swift’s been spotted with controversial musician Matty Healy again, and fans are divided on the new romance.

Swift has yet to confirm the romance but Healy has been spotted at six of her shows in a row, and several reports state the pair are a couple in the early stages of their romance.

Swift has become more private in recent years but she has made no attempts to hide the new relationship. Healy has been at her shows. He’s been seen out with her security and even spotted at a restaurant with her.

Now they’ve been seen exiting Electric Lady Studios together in New York.

Yet fans are divided on the new romance because of Healy’s controversial past.

The frontman of the band 1975 has a long history of offending people with his rogue comments and acts.

He caused outrage for touching himself while appearing to eat raw steak on stage during a show at Madison Square Garden.

“I’m sorry if you came with your dad and I was touching my d**k. It’s your fault for bringing your dad,” he joked to the audience.

Healy has a habit of pushing the boundaries with his onstage antics.

He smokes, drinks wine and for a while there, he made it a habit to make out with male and female fans on stage.

Although when Swift turned up as a guest at one of his London shows in January, he promptly ditched that gag.

“I’m not kissing anybody in front of Taylor Swift, have some respect. In front of the queen, it’s not happening,” Healy confessed to the crowd.

Healy has also made waves off the stage, especially when he went on Adam Friendland’s podcast and decided to tell a story about porn in February 2023.

The singer revealed he was caught watching “hard-core pornography” on “Ghetto Gaggers,” – a porn website infamous for having videos of women of colour being degraded.

All of this is enough to leave fans divided on the romantic pairing, particularly because Swift’s ex-boyfriend Joe Alywn was incredibly private and seemingly straight-laced.

“Taylor, may I suggest other British men you can date that are way better than Matty Healy,” one fan tweeted.

“Matty Healy is easily Taylor Swift’s hottest boyfriend,” another shared.

“You are not a ‘fake swiftie’ for not supporting Taylor dating Matty. You can love someone to death and not support everything that they do,” one fan wrote.

“He is the sweetest guy, super smitten and such a relationship person,” another fan argued.

Swift’s love life has been treated like a sport by eagle-eyed fans for years. She’s been linked to famous men like Harry Styles, John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal, and it doesn’t help that she predominantly writes love songs.

Eventually, she met and fell in love with low-profile English actor Alywn and the two maintained a very private relationship for six years.

Interest in Swift’s love life waned, and then the rock-solid couple broke up in April, and suddenly Swift was single for the first time in years.
