Jessica Simpson appears to slur her words in new Instagram video

Fans have again expressed concern for Jessica Simpson’s health, after she appeared disoriented and slurred her words in a new video.

Jessica Simpson has sparked concern among her fans after she posted a video in which she appeared disoriented.

The 41-year-old former singer and actress uploaded a clip on her Instagram Stories plugging the nasal spray Flonase, while also promoting the product with a photo on her page.

Users flooded the comments section of the photo, saying her eyes were “all over the place” in the video, as they expressed concerns about her “slurred” speech.

Simpson appeared to be slurring her words in the clip.

“Flonase please hire a professional. That was embarrassing to watch,” one wrote, with another adding, “It was brutal to watch. I miss the old Jessica.”

A third wrote: “She slurs her words and she’s reading cue cards OMG something is up with her. It was so odd.”

Others jumped to her defence, saying the mother-of-three could have simply been “nervous”.

“She did fine, was just a little nervous,” one wrote, with another echoing the sentiment, “Every single time I like a photo of Jessica, I see countless comments from angry and abusive people giving her sh*t for no reason.”

It comes after Simpson, who famously lost 45kg in just six months after giving birth to her daughter Birdie Mae in 2019, worried her followers with a “very thin” selfie posted last month.

The picture showed the singer looking more thin and drawn than usual, which triggered fans to flood the comment section with messages of concern.

Posing in black pants and a jumper, large sunglasses and a hat, the 41-year-old asked her 5.8 million followers: “Tried something new with my fav bandana and my son’s Boston hat … trend worthy? Maybe.”

“What happened with her OMG,” read one top-rated comment.

“OMG is that Jessica Simpson? What happened?” wrote one user, attracting hundreds of likes.

“Her face looks super thin; I hope she’s OK,” said another.

Simpson, who runs a successful fashion line, The Jessica Simpson Collection, which she founded in 2005, previously admitted she had once tipped the scales at 110kg.

Last November, Simpson shocked fans with another near-unrecognisable photo posted to her Instagram – this time, it was a throwback photo of herself during the depths of her alcohol addiction, posted to mark four years of sobriety.

Simpson candidly admitted in her post that “the drinking wasn’t the issue. I was,” and addressed the “stigma” that surrounds the words “alcoholism” and “alcoholic”.
