Jennifer Lopez spotted flying economy on budget airline
She’s worth a reported $600 million, but this celeb opted for an economy seat on a budget airline in Europe – leaving travellers stunned.
Jennifer Lopez left travellers stunned after being spotted flying economy in Europe at the weekend.
The US singer and actress, 54, is worth $600 million but opted for a standard ticket on a KLM flight from Naples to Paris, where she travelled for Fashion Week.
The superstar had been enjoying a solo trip in Italy and was seen looking radiant on-board a yacht off the coast of Positano.
Her Euro jaunt follows intense rumours her marriage to Ben Affleck is in tatters as well as the cancellation of her This is Me tour.
Lopez was looking unusually understated for the short flight, wearing shades and a cream jumper.
She was accompanied by her security detail, while a bodyguard took an aisle seat.
The diva looked much more radiant in the French capital when she attended the Dior show Tuesday in a beige dress and black leather gloves.
Overall, it’s been a glum few months for Lopez, who has been plagued by rumours of marital woe.
Just two years on from her and Affleck’s wedding, insiders are saying “there is no way this is going to work”.
The couple have been seen on several occasions exchanging tense words and slamming car doors in public rows – with the actor looking utterly miserable in all but a few pap photos since tying the knot.
Earlier, in May, a source close to Ben told Page Six: “If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would.
“He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.”
While the couple was yet to publicly address the state of their marriage, Lopez was forced to shut down reporters who questioned her on divorce rumours during a promo tour for her new sci-fi film, Atlas.
The On the Floor singer was also forced to cancel her This Is Me Tour amid rampant speculation that she and Affleck had finally called it quits.
Addressing fans via her On the JLo newsletter, she wrote: “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down.”
“Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary.
“I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time …”
But while the LA-based singer and actress claimed she was “taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends”, the comeback tour was hit with reports of low ticket sales.
As reported by Forbes, if Lopez was to embark on the tour, the singer would be performing to “predominantly empty rooms in some cities’’.
The tour was originally intended to support her latest album – however, compared to her previous mega-hits, the tracks saw barely any interest, selling a mere 14,000 copies in the US in its debut week.
