A-lister hangs at the beach with best friend’s ex-husband

A huge movie star has been spotted having a fun beach day with her best friend’s ex-husband, who also happens to be famous.

Movie star Dakota Johnson, fresh off Madam Webb’s not-so-great success, has been splashing in the water with Jeremy Allen White.

It might seem random that the two were hanging out in Malibu, but Dakota is the godmother to Jeremy’s daughters, Ezer and Dolores, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Addison Timlin.

Addison and Dakota have been friends since they were teenagers and Jeremy’s ex described Dakota as her “best friend” in a gushing Instagram post.

“Happy birthday to my best friend in the whole world. We feel each other like the weather, and I’m deeply grateful for it. I love you for the rest of time,” she wrote.

Despite their break-up, Dakota maintains friendships with both of them.

Their friendship is also another example of how small Hollywood is, where everyone knows everyone.

For instance, Dakota is the daughter of actors Melanie Griffiths and Don Johnson, and her former stepdad is Antonio Banderas.

She’s now dating Chris Martin, who was married to Gwyneth Paltrow. She’s a very connected woman, and she also counts Jeremy as one of her close mates.

Jeremy has been single since splitting with Addison in May last year.

This news was a bit of a shock at the time because when he won his Golden Globe for best actor in a TV series, musical, or comedy in January that year, he gave a shout-out to his then-wife.

“Addison Timlin, I love you down to your bones,” he said.

“Thank you for all you do. Thank you for everything that you’ve done. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Addison called his win “overwhelming” on Instagram and shared that she couldn’t take her eyes off him from the first moment she saw him perform in drama class.

Four months later … the divorce papers were filed.

Neither has spoken about what led to the demise of their relationship, but Addison has been very open on Instagram about the struggle of suddenly becoming a single parent.

“It is so f**king hard. It is all out covered in s**t crying on the floor kick you in the shins screaming with no sound coming out hard,” she shared candidly.

She described in detail how she felt being a solo parent was not the “natural order of things”.

“It can be exhausting, but more than anything, it can just be so lonely. When something magical happens, and you have to tell yourself, ‘Don’t forget this’ because there’s no witness by your side,” she shared

Since their break-up, Jeremy has kept himself busy with some new love interests.

He was photographed kissing actor Ashley Moore and, since then, has been hanging out with musician Rosalie.
