Inside Sam and Lara Worthington’s home: Private star gives rare glimpse at luxury New York pad

The famously private Aussie model – who’s married to Avatar star Sam Worthington – has offered fans an extremely rare look inside their luxury US life.

Lara Worthington has given fans a rare look inside the luxury home she shares with husband Sam.

The model, 36, and her Avatar star husband, 47 – along with their three young sons, Rocket, Racer and River – split their time between Sydney and New York.

Taking to Instagram this week, Lara shared a rare series of personal pictures showcasing their sprawling US property.

She captioned the album: “Soulful weekend at home.”

A custom-built timber in-ground spa on a deck could be seen in one image, while another revealed a stunning peek at their wooden home interiors.

Other pictures showed idyllic moments, including Lara and one of her young sons relaxing in the spa during a breathtaking sunset.

Once a tabloid fixture, Sydney-born Lara now makes a concentrated effort to keep her life private.

However, she opened up about her family in a rare interview with Marie Claire last year, explaining that they try to keep things as “normal” as possible for their young kids.

“We tend to try to keep our lives as normal as we can. I don’t think about that stuff ever. I don’t make it my reality,” she said of the tabloid culture she’s experienced for more than 20 years.

“My mum instilled in me that it’s important to maintain a little bit of mystery. I think it’s hard in this day and age to achieve. I’ve tried to keep things pretty close to my chest and I think there’s a certain elegance to that.”
