Billionaire cryptocurrency boss and ex-child star Brock Pierce opens up about sex ring claims

Ex-child star, cryptocurrency billionaire and now 2020 US president candidate Brock Pierce has opened up about his damaging past.

Former child star Brock Pierce has made headlines recently for announcing his US presidential candidacy as an independent against Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

It shone a renewed spotlight on the 39-year-old, who starred as the son of the US president in First Kid and two Mighty Ducks films in the 1990s.

And while acting took a back seat – with his last film credit in 1997 – Pierce is as successful as he ever could have been as an actor and is now a cryptocurrency billionaire, co-founding the leading 2019 traded cryptocurrency, Tether.

Now the single father of two daughters, who lives a high flying lifestyle fit with private jets, parties and music festivals, is embarking on the 2020 presidential campaign trail.

In a wide-ranging interview with DailyMailTV, Pierce admitted he’s entering a highly critical space with “battle scars”. He had links to a Hollywood child sex abuse ring which emerged in a 1999 lawsuit. He was 17 at the time.

The allegations were aimed at Pierce and his two co-founders on the video platform start-up, Digital Entertainment Network.

One of those founders, Marc Collins-Rector, is now a convicted sex offender after pleading guilty to related charges.

However Pierce was never charged criminally and continues to deny any involvement.

“Part of running for president is having to answer questions regarding your past and I have my share of battle scars,” he told the website.

“I was 16, 17, 18-years-old, I started my first company and my co-founder found himself in hot water.

“And as a result of that, I got myself into a lawsuit. I was asked to participate in this lawsuit and because I didn’t participate, I was turned into a defendant.

“All three of those plaintiffs subsequently apologised to me and dismissed their cases. I was 17-years-old. I’m not perfect. I’ve made my mistakes, but I’ve never been charged with a crime.”

Pierce also had links to now dead paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, after flying to the Virgin Islands in 2011 to speak at a conference hosted by Epstein – who was already a registered sex offender at this point.

“I was asked to speak about the future of money, and so I went. I speak at conferences normally two or three times a week,” he explains.

“I don’t do substantial due diligence nor was there any information about who was sponsoring it. And so I ended up speaking at that event.

“Had I known that the sponsor had been Jeffrey Epstein and if I knew what I know now, I would never have gone.”

Discussing his decision to run for president, Pierce said he feared his nation was “doomed” under the current leadership and wanted to do something about it.

“I was hoping that someone else would step up and provide leadership in this country, so I’m doing this because I’m very concerned,” he said.

“I’m very concerned about the state of our nation. I’m concerned about our collective future. And I think that there is a way to get through this.

“I think we’re doomed if we don’t do something different and I’m prepared to do whatever it takes, as a father, as someone that cares – I’m willing to put myself in harm’s way for the betterment of us all.”

Pierce will advocate for a fair justice system, renewable energy and small business support.
