Jennifer Lopez and her estranged husband Ben Affleck’s best friend, Matt Damon, reportedly had a “long, deep conversation” after the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) premiere of their film Unstoppable on Friday.

An eyewitness told People they posed together at the premiere and then chatted for more than 20 minutes at the afterparty, which was hosted at The Ritz-Carlton’s EPOCH Bar & Kitchen Terrace.

The source said the pair “began talking and had a long, deep conversation” — and at one point even clasped each others hands.

Their conversation wasn’t all serious, though, as the insider also claimed they laughed at one point as well.

Reps for both stars did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The conversation reportedly began after Damon, 53, joined Lopez, 55, and his wife, Luciana Damon, 48, at an outdoor table. They were also sitting with Don Cheadle.

Cheadle stars in Unstoppable alongside Lopez. The movie is a true sports story about the life of three-time all-American wrestler Anthony Robles.

The film was produced by Affleck, 52, and Damon’s production company, Artists Equity.

Though Affleck helped support the movie, he was not expected to attend TIFF.

The film festival marked the On the Floor singer’s first major public appearance since she filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20.

She shined as she walked the red carpet in a silver Tamara Ralph dress that appeared to take inspiration from a disco ball. The gown featured high slits up both sides that showed off her side profile.

The exaggerated slits were held together with oversized black velvet bows.

Lopez appeared to be in great spirits on the red carpet and even joked that she is a “bad picker” during a lively chat with her co-star Bobby Cannavale.

While her comment could certainly have been shade directed at Affleck, Lopez has a rich history of relationships.

She has been married four times: to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998, Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003, Marc Anthony, from 2004 to 2014 and to Ben Affleck from 2022 to 2024.

She has been engaged a total of six times.
