Beckhams play tennis in Sydney

FORGET the Opera House or Bondi Beach — the Beckham family are continuing their low key tour of Australia with a day on the courts.

David Beckham says marriage to Victoria is 'hard work'

THE Beckhams’ trip down under continues to be low key, with David and Victoria Beckham treating their children to a game of tennis on Thursday.

16-year-old Romeo Beckham, who is a keen tennis player, uploaded a photo of himself, Cruz and David at Ken Rosewall Arena in Sydney’s Olympic Park.

The company that played host to the famous British family also uploaded photos of David and Victoria Beckham to their Instagram account.

Victoria shared a video of the Anzac Bridge to her Instagram Story, writing that she was “loving Sydney”.

Yesterday the Beckhams split up, with David, Romeo and Cruz climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge while Victoria and daughter Harper had their nails painted at The Nail Lab in Darlinghurst.

On Monday the family ventured out of Sydney for a day of quad-biking and abseiling at Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures on the Central Coast.

The adventure park’s account mentioned the visit on Instagram and revealed the Beckhams had asked them not to post any images of them.

“We are respectful of the family’s wish to refrain from posting the photos on social media,” a post on Glenworth Valley’s Instagram page said.

The Beckhams are in Sydney to attend the Invictus Games, for which David is an ambassador, however, the trip has been overshadowed by speculation about the couple’s marriage.

Victoria was reportedly left in “floods of tears” after David described their marriage as “hard work” and “complicated” in an interview with The Sunday Project.

“When Victoria was given the heads up on Wednesday about David’s interview, she was absolutely devastated,” a friend told The Sun.

“She has no idea why he would say such insensitive things and publicly embarrass her like this.

“As you can imagine, it was as if a nuclear bomb had gone off in the Beckham household when she found out.

“She was in pieces and spent the next two days crying. To say it’s not been the best of weeks is an understatement.”
