WHEN IS BLACK FRIDAY 2023?
This year, Black Friday will be held on November 24, which follows Thanksgiving in the US, (which usually takes place on the fourth Thursday of November). The shopping event is then followed by the Cyber Weekend, which sees even more discounts offered from midnight on Black Friday until midnight the following Monday (November 27).
While it’s a mega sales event that originated overseas, it’s firmly caught on in Australia, with Black Friday now competing with Boxing Day as one of the biggest and best sales.
WHAT IS CYBER MONDAY?
Held on the Monday following Thanksgiving, Cyber Monday is Black Friday’s sales counterpart. This year, Cyber Monday falls on November 27.
The shopping event initially began in 2005 as the “online” version of Black Friday, back when we all weren’t quite as well versed in online shopping and has stuck ever since.
