WHEN IS BLACK FRIDAY?
This year, Black Friday is being held on November 24, which follows Thanksgiving in the US, (which usually takes place on the fourth Thursday of November).
While it’s a shopping event that originated overseas, it’s firmly caught on in Australia, with Black Friday now competing with Boxing Day as one of our most beloved sales.
WHEN DO BLACK FRIDAY SALES FINISH?
Each retailer is different so we can’t exactly pinpoint when exactly the sales will finish but you can presume that most will be nearly over or already done by the end of Cyber Monday, 27 November.
It’s also good to keep in mind that many retailers hold special one day only deals on Black Friday so if you’ve got your eye on something it’s best to buy quickly.

Held on the Monday following Thanksgiving, Cyber Monday is Black Friday’s sales counterpart. This year, Cyber Monday falls on November 28.
The shopping event initially began in 2005 as the “online” version of Black Friday, back when we all weren’t quite as well versed in online shopping and has stuck ever since.
