Every winter, I’m rudely reminded about the importance of super hydrating skincare.
From brisk, chilly temperatures outside to the dry air of the heater, my skin is often left rough, dry and desperately in need of an extra bit of TLC.
This cold also coincides with the increasing temptation to be a bit lazier with skincare in order to savour every last minute in bed before getting up to the cold bathroom tiles. So anything that can offer more than one benefit, or make the experience that little more pleasant, is a very welcome addition. Like, say, an intensely hydrating lotion that not only moisturises skin but promises to tone it, too.
That’s the premise of the BodyBlendz Face + Body Anti Cellulite and Stretch Mark Lotion. The Aussie skincare brand, which counts Kim Kardashian and supermodel Shanina Shaik among its fans, has already sold out of this product not once, but twice (!), selling over 150,000 units.
Consider me intrigued.
So how does this celeb-approved skincare brand – that boasts almost half a million followers on Instagram – really stack up?
ONE MINUTE REVIEW
BodyBlendz Face + Body Anti Cellulite and Stretch Mark Lotion, $28
BodyBlendz Face + Body Anti Cellulite and Stretch Mark Lotion – the downlow
As the name suggests, this is a product that promises to help reduce the appearance of cellulite but also nourish and hydrate the skin, thanks to an effective formula infused with a blend of natural ingredients.
The brand’s signature BodyBlendz Complex, including Artichoke extract, targets cellulite while Shea Butter and Green Coffee Seed Liquid Extract provides moisturising, softening and toning qualities. It also features Niacinamide, favoured for its ability to help improve the appearance of uneven skin tone and rough texture. Pineapple Extract also boosts the formula with deeply hydrating benefits.
It’s recommended to apply in the morning and/or the evening, using gentle smoothing motions.
First impressions: what does it look and smell like?
The pastel packaging is fun yet sophisticated and the tube makes it handy for travel. I love that you can really squeeze or get to every drop of the product by cutting off the top when you’re running low, too.
A big thing is definitely the scent – sweet and tropical without being sickly or overpowering. To me, this elevates the lotion and experience into a skincare step you actually want to do. Close your eyes and you can imagine yourself on a warm, sandy island holiday or feasting on delicious fresh citrus cake. Heaven!
The texture of the lotion is a real strength. It’s the perfect balance between being substantial and creamy enough to really hydrate and soak into the skin and light enough to avoid that heavy, sticky feeling you get after using some thicker moisturisers.
I applied morning and night after my shower, focusing on legs, bottom and arms, later using the brand’s Body Massager as an addition to boost the benefits.
What results do you notice on your skin?
My skin felt SO soft. I’m talking like silky, silky soft. It absorbed quickly yet felt hydrated for a while which meant I didn’t have to hang about waiting for it to sink in before getting dressed.
I’ll be honest, for me targeting cellulite and stretch marks are not something I’m focused on with my skincare regimen. Nor should anyone feel the pressure to. But the brand does have some pretty convincing before and afters and other customer reviews who say they’ve seen desirable results in this area if that is something you’re looking for.
“I have been using this product for 2 weeks, and it is a game changer,” wrote Chloe from Melbourne in her review.
“I have … stretch marks due to my weight gain and this has made me so self conscious, but since using this lotion I am seeing results and my stretch marks are finally fading.”
“I’m loving this product and can definitely see a difference in my legs, booty and thighs after a few weeks of using the product morning and night,” said another reviewer from Sydney.
I did, however, begin to see the start of a subtle difference in how some areas, including my legs, looked. My skin appeared more even-looking and certainly soft and hydrated.
So what’s the verdict on this BodyBlendz moisturiser?
Did I mention how soft and smooth my skin feels?
While the lotion is lovely and quite luxe to use in itself, using the massager tool also encouraged me to take the time to properly apply all over, rather than skipping bits that I tend to do using a normal body moisturiser.
At $28, it’s a reasonable price point, particularly given you can use it all over your body, including your face.
It’s not necessarily a product I would have thought to reach for but will definitely continue using. The lotion plus the massage tool is a fun little ritual to have established that definitely gets the circulation moving which I am starting to see the benefits of. To me, it’s the equivalent of a cheat to that healthy, rosy glow you get after exercise rather than any direct replacement.

The Aussie, cruelty-free brand also offers a Face + Body Gradual Tanning Anti-Cellulite Lotion, a sun-kissed version of the lotion which would be very handy for anyone wanting an added subtle glow.
The Booty Clay Mask is another bestseller, pitched as the ‘ultimate booty perk-up in a tub’. Packed with moisturising and rejuvenating ingredients like Australian White Clay, Artichoke Extract, Shea Butter and Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate, smooth and improve texture, it’s got great reviews for its results on helping to clear acne and other blemishes.
