Man with shotgun busted in Crown carpark
A man was found sitting in his white Hyundai with a sawn-off shotgun in the Crown Casino carpark.

A loaded sawn-off shotgun has been seized and a man hit with a swag of serious charges after a police swoop at Crown Casino.
Police patrolling the casino’s carpark found a man sitting in a white Hyundai in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The members, from the public order response team, approached the man and found he was the subject of a firearms prohibition order.
His car was searched and the loaded sawn-off and ammunition uncovered.
Cocaine was also found in the car, which had been stolen from Kooyong Rd, Caulfield, in December last year.
A 38-year-old Melton South man has been charged with being a prohibited person possess a firearm, possessing a firearm in contravention of a prohibition order, possessing a loaded firearm in a public place, shortening the barrel of longarm, possessing cartridge ammunition without a license/permit, possessing cocaine, car theft, handling stolen goods, using a vehicle displaying misrepresentation of number plate, committing an indictable offence whilst on bail and contravening bail conditions.
He faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court Tuesday and was remanded to appear again on February 9.
