A man plans to fight accusations he entered random female’s homes at night and sexually assaulted them.
Zarif Sarker, 32, faced the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday where he pleaded not guilty to the sexual assault of a teenage girl and woman aged in her 60s in separate alleged attacks in his home suburb of Wyndham Vale late last year.
Charge sheets allege he crept into the bedroom of the sleeping teen about 2am on December 6 and placed his hands beneath her clothing.
He is accused of touching her breasts and kissing her lips during the disturbing ordeal.
The same night Mr Sarker also allegedly entered the home of another woman and grabbed her from behind.
Police allege he groped the woman’s breasts before fleeing.
Mr Sarker, remanded at Ravenhall Correctional Centre, plans to fight the 21 charges against him.
They include 14 counts of attempted aggravated burglary in Wyndham Vale and Werribee the night of the sex attacks.
Residents in the area reported sightings of an unknown man attempting to gain entry to their properties around that time.
It took police just three days to arrest Mr Sarker, who was charged by the Sexual Crime Squad.
One charge accuses him of entering a gated backyard.
The teenage girl was so shaken up by the assault she was too scared to return to the family home.
“My family’s never had a reason to lock their front door and now my sister’s afraid to step through it,” her sister said in December.
Mr Sarker will face the County Court in April.
