Designer clothes, jewellery and watches police say are worth $1 million have been seized in raids across Melbourne linked to the Mongols bikie gang.

Detectives from the Echo taskforce also allegedly uncovered drugs and cash in an operation linked to a recent swoop on Mongol members and associates at Cobram, in northern Victoria.

Investigators executed search warrants at homes in Southbank, Docklands, Montrose, Reservoir and Pakenham in the past two days.

A 30-year-old Montrose man, who police say is a patched member of the Mongols OMCG, was among those arrested.

He was charged with trafficking a drug of dependence and possessing a drug of dependence and bailed to front Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on November 5.

Nine people were arrested earlier this month in a major police investigation into alleged cross-border drug trafficking and manufacturing by the Mongols bikie gang.

A 34-year-old man from New South Wales was arrested at the Southbank property and released pending further inquiries.

Searches were also made on a home in Pakenham and a factory in the same suburb.

Detectives later charged a 37-year-old Pakenham man with possessing drugs of dependence (cannabis, steroids and prescription medications) and possessing an imitation firearm.

He was bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on October 22.

Also seized in the warrants was cannabis, steroids, prescription medication, cash and an imitation military-style firearm.

Earlier this month, detectives arrested nine people and executed 13 warrants in Cobram and Echuca as part of this investigation.

Among them was businessman Josh Eddy, 29, who police said was a sergeant-at-arms of the gang.

Also charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of drugs were Mr Eddy’s father David, 51, and his 18-year-old sister Jaide.

Two former partners of Josh Eddy were also arrested.

Assistant Commissioner Bob Hill said the operation had been running for a significant amount of time.

“Police have been able to undertake significant disruption activities, which potentially has curtailed crimes of violence from occurring,” Mr Hill said.

“The seizure of multiple illicit firearms and a high overall amount of drug seizures will no doubt have a profound impact on a number of regional communities.”
