Man arrested after he allegedly tried to stab a cop with a screwdriver
Two suspected car thieves allegedly rammed police cars during a rampage in South Yarra, before one tried to stab an officer with a screwdriver.

A cop narrowly avoided being stabbed with a screwdriver after two men allegedly rammed police cars an inner-city suburb of Melbourne.
Emergency services were called to Arthur St in South Yarra about 4.15am on Thursday after reports two men were shining torches into parked cars.
When police arrived on scene, they found the pair in an allegedly stolen black Nissan ute.
Police attempted to block the ute but the men allegedly rammed two officer vehicles while attempting to flee.
Police then attempted to arrest the men but one of them allegedly tried to stab an officer with a screwdriver.
The men were taken into custody after capsicum spray was used to subdue them.
A 30-year-old Sunbury man is currently in hospital under police guard with minor injuries.
A 23-year-old Heyfield man is assisting police with their inquiries.
