A man allegedly involved in conflict with two Melbourne gangland figures has been granted bail.
Hasan Gunes had made a Supreme Court bid to be freed so he could travel to Turkey to be with his father, who is terminally ill.
The application was granted last month.
In July, Mr Gunes was arrested and charged over a roadside confrontation with former Comanchero bikie Harwe Sherwani.
It has been alleged he rammed Mr Sherwani’s car on the Western Freeway at Ravenhall on July 7.
Mr Gunes then allegedly brandished a hammer while chasing Mr Sherwani through halted traffic and into grassland.
He was later charged with reckless conduct endangering injury and affray.
Mr Gunes, 31, was already on bail in connection with a 2021 shootout at Greenvale.
He was allegedly glassed at the Love Machine nightclub before seven rounds were fired into a Greenvale home.
Douglas Mikhaeel, who had been linked to the Notorious Crime Family gang, was allegedly the target of that incident after earlier brawling at Love Machine.
Mr Gunes’ brother, Ali, is a director of the Sonsa Market in Collingwood, which was firebombed on June 29.
Mr Sherwani’s Caroline Springs home also came under attack from arsonists in the same period.
Those incidents were among a wave of firebombing attacks on businesses, homes and cars across Melbourne which are being investigated by a special police taskforce.
The others were at Greenvale, Fawkner, Oakleigh, Fraser Rise, Maribyrnong and Port Melbourne.
