A third person has been charged with murder after the body of Frankston dance music fan Matthew Warrington was found tied up along the Glen Waverley train line.

Boronia man Brendan Dalton, 53, faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with one count of murder.

He joins co-accused Dylan Wyatt, 35, and Kasha McIver, 36, who also face a murder charge after Mr Warrington was fatally assaulted in a home on Binalong Ave, Chadstone, on July 18.

Emergency services were later called to a suspicious house fire at the unoccupied property, about 9pm that night.

Three days later, the tied up body of the 47-year-old victim was found on nearby Railway Parade, along the busy train line.

Police believe those involved were all known to one another.

Mr Dalton was charged on Tuesday night, and faced court on Wednesday morning.

He did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody, where the court heard he would need to see a nurse for prescriptions for valium and ADHD medications.

In July, neighbours told the Herald Sun that Ms McIver lived at the Chadstone house where police say the deadly assault occurred.

“Once my housemates and I saw how many people were coming in and out of the house we all decided to stay away from that house,” a neighbour said.

A court earlier heard that Mr Wyatt faced a number of other charges, including committing an indictable offence on bail, making a threat to kill and drug possession, while Ms McIver had been charged with drug trafficking.

When they were arrested in July, Mr Wyatt said he needed to see a nurse for a “number of injuries” that he’d sustained during his arrest, while Ms McIver also made a request for treatment, stating she was “not coping”.

The accused murder trio will return to Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on November 27.
