Melbourne Cup 2019: Order of entry for Australia’s great race

The list of horses vying for a prized spot in the Melbourne Cup has shortened after stewards ordered the withdrawal of Marmelo and Isopolini. And there’s been more scratchings ahead of Tuesday’s big one.

GATE OPENING TIMES

Gate opens at 8.30am.

First race begins at 11am and the last race is at 5.15pm.

RACE START TIME

The Melbourne Cup race begins at 3pm AEST.

Brisbane time: 2pm

Adelaide time: 2.30pm

Perth time: 12pm
