Victorian basketball clubs have travelled to South Australia this weekend to compete in the state’s Easter Classic tournament.

The competition which includes more than 2300 players and 285 teams pits our clubs against some of SA’s best players and teams from NSW.

News Corp will exclusively live stream 15 grand finals from the Classic, from 8am on Easter Monday with three courts in action simultaneously.

WATCH THE GRAND FINALS LIVE FROM 8AM ON MONDAY

Teams who have made the trip to Adelaide and could feature on the live stream include BDU Lightning, Bellarine Storm, Boomer Nation, Bulleen, Camberwell, CVBA, Collingwood, Craigieburn, Darebin, Diamond Valley, Hawthorn, Keilor, Kilsyth, Kingston, McKinnon, Melbourne Tigers, North East Bushrangers, Sandringham and Wangaratta.

Camberwell will be our biggest representatives with the Dragons choosing to send a resounding 43 teams.

Its president Matt Bubb described the travelling contingent as a “small army”.

He said the tournament’s atmosphere around Adelaide and the opportunity for club and team bonding made it a special event.

“Last year we had 26 or 27 teams so to bring across 43 is great … we’ve made a fair dent in the accommodation in Glenelg each year,” Bubb said.

“It’s a voluntary tournament, not a compulsory one, and I think it’s just been a product of over the years the numbers have steadily increased.

“Particularly last year, those who went last year had a terrific experience and word of mouth spread and the numbers took off.

“You get to play a lot of teams you don’t normally play and I think everybody jumps at that.”

The tournament starts on Good Friday before Monday’s grand finals.
