RESCUE crews have pulled two men from the Yarra River after a young man spotted someone struggling in the water and dived in to save their life.
About 9.20pm last night a man in his 20s spotted the drowning man, aged in his late 50s, near Harbour Esplanade, Docklands and raised the alarm.

He jumped into the water to try and rescue the man himself but he came into trouble and both men were saved by emergency services.
The man in his late 50s was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition, while the younger man was taken to hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
Victoria Police are still investigating how the older man came to be in the water and anyone with information has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
