A truck driver has been found dead in a cool room at a Shepparton warehouse.
The transport worker, 50, was found dead about 2.30pm on Wednesday in a low-oxygenated cool room being used to preserve apples.
He was found after his unattended vehicle was spotted at the worksite with the engine running, two hours after he had finished work.
“WorkSafe is investigating,” a WorkSafe spokesman said.
“The death is the third workplace fatality of 2023, compared to 11 at the same time last year.”
