Melbourne’s infamous Montague St bridge has struck again.
A truck carrying sheets of glass smashed into the bridge, leaving shattered glass all over the road on Thursday morning.
Southbound lanes are blocked and the right lane is closed in both directions.
Crews are on scene to assist with the clean up.
Drivers are being warned to allow extra time through the area.
The latest bridge-strike records from the Department of Transport shows that the 3.7m-high bridge near Newmarket station was hit 21 times during 2021 and 2022.
