What with the mysterious dick pick hacking and the whole PWC tax thing, Luke Sayers had a rough time of it of late, reputation wise.
But word is the former Carlton prez is on the verge of a social resurrection. Or anyway a rebrand.
The Source hears that any day now it will be sayonara to the shopsoiled Sayers Group name and hello to the newly laundered “Tenet”.
The word is personnel changes are also afoot with long-time Sayers henchman Sammy Kumar set to exit the firm as CEO.
On the incoming side however the Source hears Tenet could be flush with Labor royalty.
There have been talks held with ex-AWU National Secretary Paul Howse — who has been chatting about replacing Kumar.
Even more impressively, there have been talks with James MacKenzie to step in as the new chairman of the firm’s board.
McKenzie has at various times been Chairman of the Victorian Funds Management Corporation, Development Victoria and the Suburban Rail Loop Authority Advisory Board, President of the Victorian Arts Centre Trust, Chair of the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and WorkSafe Victoria as well as numerous other things, some of which didn't even involve the patronage of Australian Labor Party.
