Putting the squeeze on Victoria’s movers, shakers and headline makers.

Mushroom Group boss Matt Gudinski has tied the knot with his longtime partner Cara McDonald in a private ceremony in Italy.

Matt and Cara celebrated their nuptials in Capri, an island in Italy’s Bay of Naples, and a high-end getaway for the rich and famous.

About 30 family and friends attended the private celebrations.

McDonald, who wore Vivienne Westwood down the aisle, is an executive at Mushroom.

A picture of the nuptials posted on social media showed the happy couple walking through a shower of confetti, with Matt’s mother, Sue, watching on with a radiant smile.

Matt took over the reins at Mushroom when his father, music boss Michael Gudinski, passed away suddenly in 2021.

Mushroom is marking its 50th anniversary this year, with an all-star concert in November, and a movie celebrating Michael’s profound influence and achievements in the music industry.

The film, Ego: The Michael Gudinski Story, premieres at the Melbourne International Film Festival next month.

Toorak TV star in doghouse over charity no-show

High profile lawyer Gina Liano has ‘ordered’ property developer Pettifleur Berenger to walk aspiring pop star Gamble Breaux’s pomeranian for a charity event.

Liano and Berenger are former Real Housewives Of Melbourne stars. Breaux still appears on the show.

Breaux sought a ‘ruling’ from Liano against Berenger on the ‘Judge Gina’ podcast.

Breaux claimed Berenger didn’t attend a dog race, part of a charity event Breaux threw to help her stepdaughter win the Miss World beauty pageant.

Breaux said her dog, Cash, loves Berenger and would have performed better if she showed up.

Berenger said she did not confirm her attendance with Breaux, and believed fronting up during the event’s two-hour window was fine.

She arrived as the event was wrapping up.

“In your mind, you created jobs for me. I don’t work like that. I need a run sheet, information and a discussion,” Berenger said.

Breaux responded: “Pettifleur arrived late, in her sunglasses, saying, ‘I’m here, I’m here, I’m here.’”

Berenger: “In my opinion, I rocked up. What better time to go, when it’s all happening? I brought some light and shade, especially with my shades on.”

Breaux: “You saw social media … it was a party rocking and that’s why you decided to come.”

Berenger: “I always ask who’s coming. I don’t want to waste my time.”

Liano: “That’s a shit friend.”

Berenger to Breaux: “I came to support you. I came there to support your cause, not to hobnob with your friends, not to drink or socialise. I came to support you, even if I’m late.”

Breaux said Cash lost the race due to Berenger’s no-show.

“It was chaos,” Breaux lamented. “It was carnage on the race fields.”

She added: “Cash was very depressed that you weren’t there. He lost the race, and he had to have a puppy pamper and extra treats.”

But Breaux said she wanted her friendship with Berenger to “be glued back together, and held strong, because it’s fun when you’re there.”

Gina Liano was called in to mediate the affair.

Judge Gina ruled that Berenger walk one of Breaux’s dogs for another Miss Word fundraiser, and post it on social media.

With Toorak justice delivered, Breaux told Berenger: “You have to be dressed well, the outfit has to co-ordinate with the dog, and perhaps you could style Cash a little bit?”

Snack smugglers on Pentridge most-wanted list

We’ve all been tempted to grab a supermarket snack before heading into the movies to avoid the criminally exorbitant popcorn prices.

But Palace Cinemas in the old Pentridge Prison in Coburg is serious about its outside snacks crackdown.

“Strictly no outside food, drinks or groceries. You may be asked to display the contents of your bag,” a sign at the register says.

The cinema chain, which also has outlets in Brighton, Balwyn, St Kilda and Northcote, does have a heart, though.

“We would be happy to look after any items for the duration of your film, with refrigeration available,” the sign adds.

The Source noticed the sign during a recent showing of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (whereas the Source saw no sign at Palace Balwyn, and snuck in bags of lollies there on Sunday for the required sustenance to get to the end of Oppenheimer, which goes for three hours but feels like five).

When we asked whether anyone had taken up the kind offer of refrigeration, we were told: “People have done it with their almond milk. They bring along the almond milk for their coffees and then want it refrigerated while they are in the movies.”

This tells us what we had long feared but can only now confirm: that the latte luvvies of Brunswick are coming to a suburb near you.
