Superstar jockey Jamie Kah has resurfaced in palm tree paradise with drink in hand, and Melbourne Cup winner Michelle Payne by her side, after an apparent white powder scandal.
Payne posted the picture on Instagram, without location details, and Kah’s partner Ben Melham posted another snap captioned: “Double Trouble.”
Payne has recently been at Royal Ascot presenting for ITV Racing and toured leading stables in England and Ireland.
She now appears to be soaking up the sun.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, Kah was charged by racing stewards after images surfaced of her on social media with a white substance.
Racing Victoria said Kah and stablehand Ruby McIntyre had each been slapped with a charge. They will face a tribunal and if found guilty could receive penalties such as a fine or suspension.
The charges come after the Herald Sun revealed images of Kah, McIntyre and greyhound trainer Jacob Biddell with a plate of the white substance that started circulating on social media on June 23.
This prompted an investigation into an event at Kah’s property held some time between June 17 and 18.
A Racing Victoria statement said Kah used “an identification card in her hand to arrange a white powder substance into three lines”.
“The recordings have been widely reported both in the media and on social media, with the perception amongst persons commenting on the post being that those in attendance at the gathering used an illegal substance.”
Kah’s appearance in the tropics with Payne and Melham marks her first public outing since the white powder incident.
