Putting the squeeze on Victoria’s movers, shakers and headline makers.

The AFL has urged a high profile player to extend their holidays after some unwanted visitors were parked outside his house, football figures have told The Source.

A Maserati is said to have been spotted near the player’s home, carrying some heavily tattooed passengers usually seen on two-wheeled transport.

It’s claimed the AFL Integrity Unit heard about the guests and politely told the player to book in some more nights away.

There were concerns about the player’s family and their safety, a source claimed.

The parked car was believed to be for someone the player knew, not them, but the AFL was allegedly still worried enough to make the call.

AFL players have long been targeted by criminal underworld figures looking to find high profile customers to bring a party together.

Their high profile salaries also make them profitable targets for extortion attempts.

The Herald Sun is not suggesting any player has done anything wrong, just that it has been claimed they had received some unwanted attention.
