Putting the squeeze on Victoria’s movers, shakers and headline makers.

Diehard Dees supporter Neil Mitchell has the black and white blues after losing a bet with Magpies tragic, Melbourne’s Lord Mayor Sally Capp.

The 3AW Mornings host was forced to wear a Magpies beanie and looked duly glum and grumpy about it.

“The taste of victory! Go Pies! Better luck next time, Neil,’’ Capp wrote on Instagram.

Even 3AW pounced on the cringe moment, posting: “Neil’s regretting this one.”

Mitchell said his reluctant look reflected a typical Collingwood supporter.

He told The Source: “I was trying to look like I was just out of jail.”

It follows Mitchell’s planned exit from the station, with Tom Elliott named as the replacement 3AW Mornings host.

Between the Tom takeover and Magpie makeover, surely Neil has suffered enough.

Qantas Chairman’s Lounge member spills the beans

With the Qantas Club in ‘rejoyce’ mode after the airline’s unpopular boss made an emergency exit last week, one blabbing elite flyer has spilt beans on how to locate the ultra-exclusive Chairman’s Lounge.

The blabbermouth, Andrew, who once held a powerful role at a Melbourne university, broke all secrecy codes by revealing the whereabouts of the Chairman’s Lounge at Melbourne Airport.

It’s at the top of the escalator for the Qantas Lounge.

“If you’re going up the escalator, it’s straight (in front),” Andrew told Nova radio hosts Ben, Liam and Belle.

“There’s double black glass doors. It either says nothing (on the door), or it says ‘private’”.

Former Qantas chief executive Alan Joyce, who left the role last week, following a disastrous victory lap before his planned retirement in November, one described the Chairman’s Lounge as “the most exclusive club in the country.”

The Lounge is invitation-only with the guest list approved by the airline’s chief executive and chairman.

Andrew said the Chairman’s Lounge had superior toasted sandwich facilities to other VIP airline spaces.

“The most important yardstick for me is the toasting machine, and if you have to wait, that’s no good,” he said.

Andrew said he’d seen business leaders, politicians and “Australian cricketers” in the Chairman’s Lounge.

Asked about the wine list, he cited Veuve champagne.

Surely, there’s about Penfolds Grange in the Chairman’s Lounge wine cellar?

“No,” Andrew replied flatly. “Nothing that good.”
