Putting the squeeze on Victoria’s movers, shakers and headline makers
Governors past and present joined the festivities in the corporate confines of Albert Park on Sunday.
But which was which?
Former governor Linda Dessau, a self-confessed revhead (and Bombers footy tragic), was there with her husband, former County Court judge Tony Howard.
She was very much playing the role of race fan rather than King’s representative.
And present governor, Margaret Gardner, was also sighted in one of the plush lounges.
But did organisers confuse the pair pre-race, when Ms Dessau was introduced to the crowd as one of the on-track dignitaries?
