Politics can be lonely, especially when you’re Will Fowles, formerly of the ALP, who now sits alone on the state parliament’s lower house crossbench.
Fowles was probed for an alleged incident after a parliamentary sitting last August, and has ever since maintained that he did nothing wrong.
No police charges were laid after a six-month sexual assault investigation. He was banished from the ALP, with no chance of return.
In parliament, female MPs have moved away from Fowles.
But a new parliament seating plan shows that Monbulk MP Daniela De Martino had joined the crowd in distancing Fowles.
In a rare slice of good news for the embattled Fowles, Tarneit MP Dylan Wight, has moved closer to his old comrade under the new seating plan.
