The company that runs Melbourne rooftop bar The Red Hummingbird has gone into liquidation.

A liquidator was appointed to C & H Entertainment Pty. Ltd on Wednesday.

The company was formerly trading as “Victoria Rebates” and “Red Hummingbird Rooftop Bar” – the name of the Russell St venue.

ASIC reported in May more than 130 Victorian businesses had plunged into liquidation or voluntary administration since the coronavirus crisis began.

Earlier this year, C & H Entertainment Pty Ltd had been taken to court for allegedly underpaying a British bartender.

It was alleged the company breached the Fair Work Act by failing to backpay the worker after they were underpaid casual loading and penalty rates for weekend, public holiday, early morning and late-night shifts.
