WE hear whispers Channel 10’s marquee program The Project may move to Nine.

The Project is produced by Rove McManus’s company Roving Enterprises, and it’s believed he is looking to get a better deal.

“This is completely untrue,” a Ten spokesman thundered. The show’s executives and Channel 9 were also surprised by the talk when contacted yesterday.

The executive producer of The Project, Craig Campbell from Roving Enterprises, also denied the reports, saying they have just celebrated seven years on air with Ten and are going nowhere.

But it would not be the first time Ten lost programs — Hamish and Andy to Nine and Thank God You’re Here to Seven after a bidding war.
