Kids are preparing to hit the cinemas, parks and Victoria’s top family attractions these school holidays as lockdown restrictions are slightly eased.
Cinemas, art galleries, museums and theatres will tomorrow begin to open but only with up to 20 patrons. Indoor sporting venues will also start to welcome back Victorians.
Both the Village and Palace cinema chains have confirmed they will reopen in the second week of the school holidays but audience numbers will be capped.
Hand sanitiser stations, increased cleaning, special measures at the candy bar and contactless payment will be among new safety measures.
Hoyts was expected to announce its plans soon.
Drive-in cinemas have experienced a revival of interest and outlets have reported strong demand for the holiday break.
Trampoline park Bounce reopens tomorrow but with a cap on the number of people inside.
Melbourne Museum and IMAX plan to open their doors on June 27 but patrons must pre-purchase tickets. Must-see museum exhibits include the Mini Mega Model Museum while IMAX will screen family-friendly movies including classics such as Jurassic Park in 3D and a range of documentaries.
School holiday favourite Luna Park at St Kilda will return to action later this month.

It will operate three-hour sessions but thrillseekers will be required to buy tickets in advance.
The NGV also reopens soon. The Collecting Comme exhibit, featuring the work of influential fashion designer Rei Kawakubo, will be a drawcard for older teens.
There are also virtual tours for younger children.
Melbourne Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary and Werribee Open Range Zoo have already welcomed back visitors but will now be able to increase their visitor limits.
Melbourne Aquarium has resumed business and has similar precautions in place.
