Dramatic footage has captured the moment two teenage girls were arrested after attacking police officers at Southern Cross Station.
Police believe the pair assaulted a woman at a fast-food restaurant on Elizabeth St in the CBD about 12.15pm on Wednesday.
It’s understood the girls ran from the scene and stole alcohol from a store on Spencer St.
Police found the pair at Southern Cross Station before two male police officers were attacked.
Capsicum spray was deployed after one officer was bit and the other was scratched.
Both officers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The woman on Elizabeth St escaped without injury.
A St Albans girl and an Elwood girl were arrested and are assisting police with their inquiries.
