A GROUP of former high-ranking police officers have slammed the Labor government, saying Victorians have been “let down” and needed an “ethical and honest government”.
The Community Advocacy Alliance, spearheaded by retired Victoria Police chief commissioner Kelvin Glare said the alleged “criminal” activities of some Andrews’ ministers was a major issue ahead of the state election in November.

It comes as Victoria Police launched an investigation into Labor’s rorts-for-votes scheme with several campaign staff arrested and questioned in August.
“An examination of the present government’s decisions, activities and performance discloses that Victorians have been let down in terms of governance and good government,” Mr Glare said.
“The real possibility is that if the current government is returned a number of their elected members may face criminal charges including current ministers,” he said.
The CAA was formed in 2015 in a bid to address the state’s law and order issues.
Acting Deputy Commissioner Doug Fryer last year slammed the group saying they were from a “bygone era”.
