Distressing video footage captures wild road rage attack in Tarneit

Shocking footage has captured a man’s violent outburst in Tarneit, terrifying a woman and two teenagers when he kicked and punched their car.

Shocking footage has emerged of a man violently kicking and punching a car in a nasty road rage attack in Melbourne’s west.

It’s understood the incident happened near Leakes Rd in Tarneit about 4pm on Monday.

In the video, a man driving a Volkswagen Golf tailgates a woman travelling ahead of him.

He then speeds in front, throwing a metal bottle at her.

The man jumps out of his car at a set of traffic lights and punches the woman’s passenger seat window multiple times.

He also kicked it, terrifying the driver and her brothers.

He then tries ripping the driver’s door handle off before screaming and kicking the car.

The woman posted the distressing video to social media, warning others who live in the area.

“I just wanted to raise awareness about a dangerous man in our area,” she said.

“If anybody knows this man, please stay safe as he is a very malicious character.”

The woman, whose two younger brothers were in the car at the time, said a passer-by came to her rescue.

“A lovely woman in a silver holden pulled over while I was calling the police to ensure that me and my brothers were okay,” she said.

The woman said she believed the incident was fuelled by her merging in front of the man.

Victoria Police was contacted for comment.
