A mother and son found dead inside a Notting Hill home did not die in a murder-suicide, police have ruled.
The Herald Sun can reveal the deaths of Ingrid House, 63, and her son Nicholas House, 34, are not being treated as suspicious.
It is understood Ms House died of natural causes and her son took his life.
Their bodies were discovered at the mother-of-three’s home in Wooral Ct on May 28 by another son.
The exact cause of the Ms House’s death is not clear and will be examined by a Coroner.
Police have also prepared a report for the Coroner into the death of Mr House.
“A post mortem has been conducted and both deaths have been determined to be non-suspicious,” a Victoria Police spokeswoman said.
Family members declined to comment on the tragedy.
Ms House’s sister-in-law Alison House previously told the Herald Sun the deaths were “difficult to understand”.
The investigation was carried out by detectives from Monash Crime Investigation Unit with the assistance of the Homicide Squad.
