Neighbours fans fuming after iconic home “neglected”

Neighbours fans are fuming after video footage emerged showing the derelict state of a famous ‘Ramsay St’ home that has hit the market.

Neighbours fans are fuming after an iconic home on the famous ‘Ramsay St’ has been left in a derelict state.

The 3 Pin Oak Court property, former home of beloved characters Lou Carpenter and Toadie Rebecchi, was opened for inspection on Saturday.

It’s understood four interested parties did a walk through with one potential buyer documenting the process on TikTok.

The woman, known as Jewels, said she was shocked when she saw the condition of the front yard, pool, kitchen, garage and laundry.

“The front of the house is very overgrown and needs a good mow,” she said.

“I went straight to the balcony to have a look outside and again it’s very overgrown, it’s been neglected for quite awhile by the look of it.”

The woman said the kitchen was “outdated”, the laundry was “absolutely nothing special” and bathtub was the smallest she had ever seen.

The scathing footage showed a dirty, green pool and multiple dead flies scattered on the living room floor.

“But looking past all that, it may suit a family wanting to get into the market and renovate,” she said.

“I think there’s a lot of potential here, once you clean it up … it really just needs a damn good trim and tidy up.”

The four bedroom, two bathroom brick home has an asking price of $1.275m and is being sold through Docking Real Estate.

It comes as filming for the new episodes start in April, after the show was famously axed in 2022 but was later revived.

It’s understood properties owners were paid a fee by the production company, Fremantle, but the conditions prevented them from making any substantial changes to their homes.

“My jaw is literally on the floor, that’s so sad to see it overgrown,” one fan said.

“It looks like a dump, an overpriced one,” another said.

The property listing claims the home has “vintage bathrooms”, “lovely front and rear gardens” and “big, bright kitchen”.

It’s opened for inspection again this Saturday.
