Giddy up for “nonna-level” fun at this year’s Melbourne Cup Carnival.
Melbourne lads Sooshi Mango are bringing their Italian tricks trackside as part of an all-star culinary line-up for the Flemington racing spectacular.
The comedy trio will feed general admission punters popular eats from their Carlton restaurant Johnny, Vince and Sam’s Ristorante at The Park.
Choice bites include arancini, salumi plates and cotoletta sliders.
They’ll join Rowville restaurateur turned Bali burger king Adam McAsey and hospo boss Tai ‘Buddha’ Graham slinging their famed BO$$MAN Burgers.
400 Gradi founder Johnny Di Francesco will spin his world-best pizzas at the Club Lawn, alongside trendy Japanese feeder Mr Miyagi and burger pros Meat Frankie.
“As someone originally from Melbourne, it’s incredible to bring one of my Bali-based brands back to my hometown,” McAsey said.
The all-star line up continues in The Club Stand with Sydney chef Ross Lusted leading The Byerley’s kitchen ahead of his Melbourne restaurant Marmelo debut, while Omnia chef Stephen Nairn will feed the masses in the Chairman’s Club.
VRC chief executive Kylie Rogers said this year’s culinary line-up had something for everyone.
“Racegoers will be hard pressed to choose between the delicious offerings served up right across the Flemington precinct … there will be something for all tastes and budgets,” she said.
