The state government will today award more than $6.3 million in “prevention partnerships”.
Australia’s National Research Organisation for Women’s Safety will be receive $1.27 million, while $1.75 million will be divided across Free from Violence grants.

Outwatch, a nationwide campaign, will also receive $3.3 million.
The funding was announced in the 2017/18 budget as part of a $1.9 billion packaging fighting domestic violence.
Prevention of Family Violence Minister Natalie Hutchins said one in four Victorians had already been reached by the government’s anti-violence campaign.
“If we’re going to stop family violence and violence against women before it starts, we need to have the very latest research and policy — and that’s exactly what this funding will support,” she said.
Applications for the Free from Violence grants open next month.
