Pair of accused looters charged over $15k theft from flooded Maribyrnong home
Two men have been charged after a flood-affected home in Maribyrnong was looted, with $15,000 worth of items taken.

Two alleged looters have been charged following the burglary of a flood-effected home in Maribyrnong.
Police were told a blue Ford Territory pulled up outside a Burton Cres property about 7am on Monday.
It is believed a man allegedly entered the unoccupied home and stole items before fleeing in the vehicle.
Two other men remained in the vehicle during the incident.
On Thursday, a 26-year-old Sunshine West man was slapped with 12 charges including burglary, obtain property by deception and handle stolen goods.
He was bailed to appear at Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on April 11, 2023.
A 33-year-old Sunshine West man is expected to be charged on summons with deception offences and will appear at a Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
Police are still seeking to identify a third man who may be able to assist them with their enquiries
The victim told the Herald Sun about $15,000 worth of laptops, iPads, and bicycles were allegedly stolen.
Police said investigations remain ongoing.
