A Jetstar plane has made an emergency landing at Mildura Airport reportedly due to a cargo fire.
Flight JQ660 from Sydney to Ayers Rock was diverted to Mildura Airport shortly before midday.
There were reports of smoke in the cabin, causing the emergency landing.
Eight emergency vehicles are currently responding to an “aircraft accident” at Mildura Airport, according to the VicEmergency website.
A CFA spokesman said it received reports about an aircraft in “difficulty” at 11.53am.
The incident was listed as being under control at 12.30pm.
Paramedics are on scene and are assessing a number of passengers.
No one is believed to have been injured.
A Jetstar spokesman said the flight was diverted as a precaution after an indicator light in the cockpit showed an issue in the cargo hold.
The Airbus A320 landed normally, said the spokesman.
“We thank customers for their patience as our teams work to get them on their way as quickly as possible,” the spokesman said.
