They’ll also be able to compare how their kids’ class rates against students with similar backgrounds.

Data for testing levels of Grades 3 and 5 and Years 7 and 9 will also show the students’ progress over time.

The Herald Sun will bring you the latest analysis of the data, to be released by the MySchool site, highlighting the schools with the strongest improvements and the highest results.

But there will be a change this year.

The nation’s curriculum body, ACARA, has decided to limit the information available on the public website.

Parents will no longer be able to see how their child’s school compares with similar campuses.

Information will also be removed on the band that students’ results sit within.

The overhaul comes after a review last year, which determined a focus on student progress rather than school comparisons would be more helpful for families and communities.
