Shane Warne’s family have marked the first big milestone since his sudden passing — the 23rd birthday of his son Jackson.

Jackson celebrated with family and close friends at Hotel Sorrento on Saturday night and paid tribute to the significance of the occasion as the spin king wore number 23 during his cricket career.

“This birthday was a hard one to celebrate but I was lucky enough to be surrounded by great friends and family to make it such a special weekend,’’ Jackson wrote on Instagram.

“I turned 23 this year which is a very special number. 23.

“Thankyou everyone for the birthday wishes and I will get back to all of you. I appreciate your kind words. Thankyou, go saints.”

Jackson was surrounded by his sisters Brooke and Summer, mum Simone Callahan, his grandparents parents Keith and Brigitte, uncle Jason, girlfriend Kiah Broadsmith, Shane’s PA Helen Nolan and Shane’s best mates including Tony Hachem, Aaron Hamill, Steven Baker, Luke Tunnecliffe and Dimitri Mascarenhas.

Simone Callahan said Jackson’s dad would be so proud, posting for her son on his birthday on Friday.

“Happy Happy Birthday Jackson 23,’’ she wrote.

“Wishing you joy today, and always. Keep being You because your kindness & caring nature is beautiful and I’m so proud of you!! Your courage and strength is extraordinary. Keep manifesting those dreams, your journey is just beginning. We love you so much.

“Dad would be so proud of the man you are becoming…..23. #happybirthday #23#wishes#love.”

Brooke Warne praised her younger brother as the strongest human.

“Happy 23 Birthday to the best brother anyone could ask for, you are one of the

strongest and most incredible humans on this earth and I’m so lucky to call you my brother, your day. 23.”

Shane Warne passed away from a heart attack in Thailand on March 4.
