Vinoj Mohanachandran is prepared to fight millions of diehard Swifties to take out the title for Australia’s biggest Taylor Swift fan.

The 21-year-old Melbourne student said he became a hardcore fan when the megastar released her music video for the song Mean in 2011.

“In the song, she confronts critics and bullies in a playful manner, and as a kid I made this song my whole personality,” he said.

“It’s this vivid storytelling paired with her strong connection with fans that has made me a Swiftie for over 13 years.

“I think Australians truly appreciate her personal and authentic songwriting which is why we’ve been supporting her since the very beginning.

“Her versatility also means she has a song for everyone; country, pop, you name it, there’s a song out there for you.”

Mr Mohanachandran was one of the first Aussie’s to attend the Era’s tour, flying to the US for the Pittsburgh show in June last year.

“It was the greatest experience of my life. It was my first time seeing Taylor and words cannot describe how insanely amazing the show was,” he said.

“All I can say is the videos online do not do the show any justice, you just have to experience it in real life.

“It’s impossible to pick a favourite part but the acoustic set where she plays two surprise songs that is unique to every show is a highlight.

“Also, meeting thousands of other fans, trading friendship bracelets and singing our hearts out was such a magical experience.”

The 21-year-old at Swift’s Pittsburgh show last year.

He said it was the “greatest experience” of his life.

Mr Mohanachandran managed to score tickets to Swift’s first Melbourne show on February 16.

His outfit will be covered in bedazzled red snakes, inspired by Swift’s costume for the Reputation set of the Era’s tour.

Mr Mohanachandran said his dedication to the superstar, including social media fan accounts with nearly 300,000 followers, proved that he was her biggest fan.

“I’ll have to fight millions of Swifties for this title, but I lose sleep every night staying up late in case she announces another surprise project,” he said.

“I know the words to every song, put on my clown wig and analyse every outfit or emoji she uses for Easter eggs.

“I will always be by her side supporting every song and album, especially her rerecordings which are so special to her.

“This is why I think I have a fair claim to being one of her biggest fans.”
