A Frankston family will face their first Christmas without their beloved wife and mother, Ella Troup, who died just six weeks after receiving a stage four cancer diagnosis.

The Herald Sun understands the devoted mother-of-two was undergoing a procedure related to her heart-wrenching diagnosis last week when tragedy struck.

Mrs Troup, a product manager with furniture and homewares label GlobeWest, leaves behind her husband of four years, Ben, and two young sons, Ollie, 3, and Leo, 1.

Friend Jordan MacLeod and sister-in-law Krystal Cameron paid tribute to their “angel on earth”, launching a GoFundMe to support Mrs Troup’s boys as they try to move forward.

“Very few people knew that Ella had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer just 6 weeks ago,” Ms MacLeod explained.

“She had a hard fight to find the primary source when she unexpectedly lost the battle during a procedure.”

The local community and beyond have since rallied around the devastated family, donating almost $120,000 to the crowd-funding page in just five days.

Mr Troup on Monday paid tribute to his partner of more than a decade as he shared a touching clip on social media of his stunning wife running along the beach to the song Just Like Heaven by The Lumineers.

Loved ones have struggled come to terms with the senseless loss.

“I’m yet to find the words to share about my beautiful girl, in the mean time we’ve created a place where people can help support the boys and family while they grieve,” Ms MacLeod said.

The devoted mother regularly expressed her zest for life.

Some of her final posts to social media documented special moments with her children, including little Leo’s first birthday in May this year.

She described her life as “bliss with a family of boys”.

Longtime friend Em Paynter said Mrs Troup was “the most beautiful, kind-hearted, caring and selfless woman I’ve had the pleasure of knowing”.

Another friend labelled Mrs Troup as “sunshine personified”.

“Although it’s decades since we’ve known each other, it’s been a joy to follow your journey from afar.

“Your family is all the more strong, because of you,” she said.
