It’s time to grab your best broomstick and magic wand because Harry Potter is coming to the Australian Open.
On January 27, the team behind the production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will transform the AO Ballpark for a day of family fun.
Gyton Grantley, who plays Ron Weasley in the play, will make a special appearance.
“Harry Potter Day is going to be a lot of fun and we can’t wait to share some of the magic we bring on stage every night to the AO Ballpark,” he said.
With more than 200 shows and 400 performances across the country, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has been a sell-out in Melbourne.
When the play opened in New York last year, it smashed box office records for the highest single-week gross reported by a non-musical in Broadway history.
Written by Jack Thorne and Harry Potter author JK Rowling, the play is shown in two parts, and runs for five hours in total.
